Don’t worry as many concrete floors and floor screeds are not 100% level and we have a solution. Self-leveling is typically used to create a flat and smooth surface with a compressive strength similar to or higher than that of traditional concrete prior to installing interior floor coverings.
The most common type of self-levelling compound is a bag of powder, with the latex compound already included. This just needs to be mixed with water to use.
A gauge rake is used to move self-levelling into place without spreading it too thin.
The self-levelling finishing is then done by lightly breaking the surface tension of the product using a tool called a smoother or spiked roller.
